Happy Valley/Lake Pleasant | Steel and Cast Concrete, 12 x 20 x 10 Feet, 2017

Happy Valley/Lake Pleasant is a site responsive public art project that functions as a shaded structure for folks using public transporation in Peoria AZ. Project programming highlights include: highly durable materials (steel and cast concrete)–to meet the intense heat and sun demand of Arizona; adequate, dynamic shading during brief wait time; and a unique visual experience while seated, that reflects the surrounding desert landscape.
